What diners say about Coffees in Kilrush, Co. Clare: 5 recent public reviews and an overall rating of 3.8/5 from 98 reviewers on Google.
Pros:
Cheap, fast service, good food for the price. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons:
It gets a bit busy on Saturday mornings, and there's limited table space if you're eating in.
We got breakfast for five adults and two toddlers for about €60, including three full Irish breakfasts, one half breakfast and a scrambled egg for the little one.
My wife and I dined in this little fast food restaurant, it is a bit out dated and it could do with a freshening up, We both had the fish and chips, The fish was fried in batter perfectly and the chips were also very good, the staff were very friendly and the service was quick.
Superb food and service. We were travelling towards Kilkee and rang ahead for our choice which was ready for collection when we passed through Kilrush. If you like this style of traditional chip shop food then don't pass Coffeys in Kilrush.
Disappointing... I drove from Kilkee for fresh cod, chips, onion rings & a chicken burger. I'd eaten from there before and it was ok.. this time, it was just about ok. At €18 I thought it was overpriced. The cod was small, tasted ok but I wasn't 100% sure that it was cod. I'd guess that the onion rings were out of a packet. Ok, just. The chicken burger was very good. The chips weren't. Lots a small, edges of chips. Most went in the bin
€6 for a bag of chips! The most famous chipper in dublin only charges €5.80.
Way over charged for what it is, cleanliness wouldn't be a priority and as for customer service you can forget about it.
